Habit Tracker and Goal Planner: How to Start with Three Pages
Setting goals and tracking habits is easier when the paper in front of you is small and clear. This guide shows how to start with just three pages: a goal worksheet, a monthly habit tracker and a weekly check-in. It is a practical starting point, not a guarantee of any result.
The three pages
The free Habit Tracker sample pages are three printable pages from the Habit Tracker and Goal Planner:
- A goal worksheet (specific, measurable, why it matters, steps)
- A monthly habit tracker (31 days, 12 habits)
- A weekly check-in page
They come as two PDFs, US Letter and A4, 3 pages each, and print on standard paper in black and white. The sample is for personal use.
Step 1: write one goal
Start with the goal worksheet and write one goal only. The page prompts you to make it specific and measurable, to say why it matters, and to list the steps. Writing a single goal keeps the first week simple.
Step 2: choose a few small habits
On the monthly habit tracker, write the habits that support the goal. The tracker has room for up to 12 habits across 31 days, but you do not need to fill it. Starting with two or three small habits is easier to keep track of.
Step 3: check in once a week
The weekly check-in page is where you look back over the week and adjust. A short check-in on the same day each week, whenever suits you, is enough.
What the full planner adds
If the three pages are useful and you want more, the Habit Tracker and Goal Planner Printable has 40 pages, undated, so you can start in any month. It includes:
- A vision page and three goal worksheets
- A 90-day plan
- 12 monthly habit trackers (31 days, 12 habits)
- 13 weekly check-ins
- A year-in-pixels mood tracker and two 30-day gratitude logs
- Habit stacking, if-then obstacle plans, a quarterly review and a reward list
It is two PDFs, US Letter and A4, 40 pages each, single sided.
How it is meant to be used
- Download and print.
- Start with the vision page and one goal.
- Add habits to the monthly tracker and check in weekly.
Printing and paper
Print the pages you need, as many copies as you like. The pages are single sided and black and white friendly. A binder, a clipboard or a folder all work for keeping them together.
